It’s no secret that most websites you visit and apps on your smartphone are tracking your every move online. But many of us forget (or aren’t aware) that many, if not most major online services we use also collect and often times share information about us with third parties.
But the battle is not all lost. While it may not be 100% possible to stop all collection and sharing of our personal data, we can take an active role in limiting what most popular online services we use collect/use by updating our Privacy Settings.
To help you in this endeavor, here you can find instructions on how to update privacy settings on the most popular online services.
Links to online services were originally collected and published by the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) through it’s StaySafeOnline international initiative. Envision Consulting is proud to support and be a champion of the far-reaching online safety awareness and education initiatives by the NCSA.
